| There are 26 inch TVs with better pictures but not below £300. The sound is far better than the equivalent Samsung, which I consider to be the closest rival, and in my opinion the picture is better too! Setting it up was easy and the menus are totally intuitive. A great TV! |

This TV is Fab!!! Picture quality clear & perfect for me, and the sound is excellent.
I found it easy to set up without even looking at the CD-rom provided.
The instruction booklet could be more helpful but never the less once you press the menu button on the remote its easy enough to understand for most people so no worries if you dont have a PC for the CD-rom provided.
Once all is plugged in correctly all you need to do is press menu, then settings and then auto-tuning and just wait whilst it tunes and then all is done and ready to use!
Any other features it has you can just easily learn as you go along by pressing all the buttons on the remote to see what they do and you soon get the hang of it.
This TV is very user friendly and excellent quality.
Also it has a switch just behind the stand-by-light at back of TV so you can switch the stand-by-light off completely when TV not in use which means its not using your electricity and better for the planet and if your away on holiday much safer to leave stand-by-light OFF.

After reading reviews of as many 26-inch and 32-inch models as I could find, I settled on this in preference to others from Samsung, Panasonic and Sony. Why? Because reviews suggested picture quality was more 'natural' than Panasonic, sound better than Samsung, reliability better than Sony. With 2 Scarts (as well as 2 HDMI), it also promised better connectivity with existing DVD recorder etc.
My son and I are pretty critical consumers, but we are not disappointed. The picture quality is stunning; it does a very good job of upscaling SD Freeview to digital quality - to the point where I could wish not to have revealed the appalling quality of some British teeth! Sound quality for tv and movies in a small living room is fine - don't know what some folk are complaining about. The only area of disappointment is that it could not pick up any more Freeview channels than my Sony DVD recorder - but this is from an admittedly dodgy secondary antenna so we had no right to hope for better.
This is a reassuringly quality piece of kit that does (almost) all anybody could reasonably expect of a 26-inch tv. The fact that it is the cheapest of those I compared is just icing on a very palatable cake. But why, oh why is the USB slot only for system updates rather than for input of movies etc?? This is an excellent tv, but with that facility too it would have been über-excellent!!!

I bought this TV recently after researching heavily all similar TV's and reviews and came to the conclusion that on paper this was the best for the money.
I haven't been disappointed. Delivery by Amazon was excellent as usual and the TV was simple to set up. I have made adjustments to the picture to suit my taste and room eg colour, brightness and contrast and am very pleased with everything.
No criticisms at all really. Manual is on a CD and the paper one only really deals with fixing the stand.
Can only recommend it |
It works!

I bought this as a thank-you present for my sister for helping look after our children.
My sister is not particulalry technical, but she pretty much just plugged it in and it worked first time.
I did a lot of research into TVs in this price/size bracket, and from what I can gather this works very, very well and I am glad that I chose it.

| Just received this TV today having ordered it two days ago. Beautiful TV and the sound is great - arrived just in time to watch and listen to Bon Jovi concert. As the informative person named Ernie advised about the 22" if you set it to SRS TruSound and put the bass up to 80 the sound is fabulous. So far I haven't looked at any instructions and it is set up without any problems. Definitely worth the money |

Like many other reviewers I bought this to replace an older analogue telly, in my case a 21 inch Panasonic now giving me nothing but snowy pictures. Unlike some reviewers however I did not have to research long to find its replacement. A little while before, I had bought an LG 37 inch from Amazon and I am well satisfied with it. No problem then and 26 inch seemed to be the ideal size for the bedroom. No regrets either; it arrived in a flash in the usual Amazon style and was quickly assembled and installed. The manual was a small nuisance being on CD, but the essential details were soon extracted from the scores of other models and printed out; after all who reads a manual after the first couple of weeks. And having the manual on disc must reduce the cost of the tele which is a huge bonus.
With its glossy black finish and slim looks it blends unobtrusively in a corner of the bedroom. The screen is a delight, seeming much larger in comparison with the old 21 inch. With bright, natural colours. a much improved sound to match, an easy to use EPG and built in Freeview its all I need.Additionally it has an energy saving mode.
The technicl details such as Twin XD Engine Technology, 24p Real Cinema, HD Ready, 720P are way over my head but the fact that they are contributing to my enjoyment is all I need to know. An AV Mode(cinema, sport, game) means I should enjoy my Blu-Ray player.

| This is my fourth LG television purchase in the last few years, and am not disappointed. Its a great size, and good looking tv. Extremely easy to set up - amazingly so. Have no complaints about LG televisions in 19"; 26" and 32" sizes. Its well worth the money. Picture quality is excellent. A good looking, value for money tv which is worth purchasing. Highly recommend. |
