This TV is excellent, easy to install, easy to use, easy to setup, easy to change what your viewing for example AV, DVT, PC, or HDMI inputs.
Only thing that bothered me a little was you really need an external speaker system as sound isnt much cop and needs toying with to get to acceptable levels ( I changed the sounds settings to user settings and maxed out all the frequencies) however such a minor detail and with external speaker system it won't be an issue, picture quality is so impressive and this Sleek sexy looking TV really makes a normal room look so much better.
If your going to buy a 32" TV this in my opinion is the one to buy, very sleek very attractive, very reasonably priced and a must have.
Believe me you will not be disappointed.

A superb 32 inch TV

Well we purchased this tv to replace a model from Tesco's own range, it had only just run out of the warranty period (12 months) by you can guess 1 week, why does that happen? We didn't bother getting any extra cover as in our own silly minds thought that tv's should last at least longer than two years never mind one. So had no option but to start searching the web to see what tv deals were about.
We noticed this model (albeit slightly larger than our previous one (26inch) and can really say that sometimes things really can happen for the right reasons.
The look of the tv on the wall is perfect, no you do not feel as though the tv dominates the room. We live in a cottage and therefore have low ceilings and beams but this modern piece of technology does not look out of place in our living room, rather so it compliments it. There is a choice to either have it free standing as it comes with a stand so can easily be put onto a table or tv unit if so wished. Or for better effect well in my personal opinion is wall hung. Beware though that the price of the wall mounts are expensive though (most electrical stores like the big names are almost half the price of the tv's, so it is worth searching the web for deals as a really good strong one like the one we have is under £49.00 on some websites.
Also as it has it's own freeview built in, it means no extra box in the way and no more extra trailing wires, how is it even when tv's are designed for putting on walls there are still quite a few wires that are needed to be put somewhere? I suppose that if you live in a modern house you could sink the wires into the wall and have then covered, thus not seeing any of them. You know you see the tv adverts of a lovely tv looking modern and trendy on a wall and think great just what I would like, but when it comes down to reality they never show the electrical cables.
The sound of the tv is good (especially if you like watching movies) as you can select which audio mode you think best for whatever particular programme. However sometimes when watching a programme the sound sometimes goes a little muffled (the music can be heard loudly but the voices lower) it happens sometimes but not all the time, either that or we have hearing problems.
The children think it is awesome for gaming, we have the Wii attached to ours and they can see the game so well, so detailed and clear pictures. It must be pushing the right buttons for the children as they seem to play/watch it alot more than the old one.
Also we put photos onto it from the Wii and can have a kind of film show, (the photos look really clear and because the tv screen is so big you can see everything really clearly in the photos) just need the popcorn and away we go.
An easy to setup tv that even the most novice user could use without any problems. One important thing to point out though is that when you try to put it on the wall as flush as possible, there will be a few problems, as the scart leads stick out quite a bit, so two people are certainly needed, one to place and the other to guide it into place.
Good value for money too, but worth getting an extended warranty on one especially if you have a Wii attached, (get the kids to keep their wrist straps on at all times). Also if the tv is wall hung, should not fall off but accidents do happen and after our last experience of our tv not lasting that long worth it. |
An excellent TV

Having killed my 2 year old Vistron 26" LCD TV and considering selling my 22" PC monitor with my older PC, I was originally looking for a combination TV that I could use as PC monitor too.
I first tried the 28" Hannspree HT-09 but was disgusted with both it's poor display quality for it's 'optimum' PC resolution of 1920x1200, and with its stretching of all other content to fit into the 16:10 ratio, without any options for correcting it by adding black bands at the top and bottom etc
So I decided to get myself a 'proper' 16:9 ratio TV and another monitor. I was going to go for another 26 incher but saw this minimally attractive looking 32" set from LG.
I have to say I'm more than impressed with it. It handles anything you chuck at it without effort, has amazing contrast and brightness, and is slim, light and well built to boot. I'm not a great fan of glossy black plastic as I think it can look tacky, but on this cleanly designed LG it's very smart.
I think the stand could do with being a wee bit sturdier, but everything else about it is quality, including the remote and the wide array of input connections (my old Vistron only hard 2 scart, composite and a VGA input!)
What is the icing on the cake though is the fact that it seems to support full 1080p HD, even though its sold as only an HD Ready TV! Both my PC and Xbox 360 can access the full HD resolution of 1920x1080, with the Xbox 360 looking phenomenal - even old original Xbox games like Halo look fantastic!
When switched to PC small text is somewhat blurred at that resolution, but is still readable if only for casual use (I'm typing this review using it at that resolution now!). I'll probably stick to a conventional monitor for when doing several hours web development and graphics work, but it would be great for use with a Media PC with a Blu-Ray drive installed, or when vewing HD downloaded content.
The menus are great, very clear and attractive, the Freeview easy to setup and use and the picture quality superb, with a simple and responsive EPG.
I tried out a DVD using my upscaling Toshiba SD-370E and that looked good, though I had to fiddle with the settings a bit. However, I was going through component and I think the upscaling is on HDMI output only, so I need to invest in an HDMI cable to see the true potential. I think my Xbox 360 upscales DVDs too, so I need to check that out - thogh I find the 360 too noisy itself for comfortable DVD viewing.
Even SD content like my old Gamecube looks brilliant compared to when it was plugged into my old Vistron, though perhaps not as natural feeling as through a medium sized CRT TV like I owned previously.
Sound quality is acceptable, by no means the best, the most spacious or the meatiest, but very clear and precise - best of all no discernable 'noise' or intereference from it's headphone socket.
It doesn't output a lot of heat and is supposedly very economical to run - possibly because of improved circuitry and decent capacitors, but I ain't no electrician so thats just a stab in the dark.
Overall a great TV at a good price. Go for it if you want value without compromise and a lot of connectivity! |

| If you are after a 32" HDTV for a low price, energy saving, superb quality picture, brilliant sound quality with a sleek design, then this is the TV for you. I bought this TV about 4 months ago now and I am still amazed with its results. I can still remember spending hours looking at different HDTV's and wondering which one to buy. But this IS the one. Not forgetting this will produce 1080p, which looks outstanding with Xbox 360 or PS3. Honestly, this is a perfectly designed LCD TV - made to excentuate which ever room you decide to put it into - believe me or not i have this TV in a room 9ft by 6ft and it still looks great. The only possible downside to this TV is the fact that if it is in an enclosed space it can heat the room up but hey, you wouldn't need a radiator!! |
A great TV for a great price!

+ Sleek design
+ Value for money
+ Easy to assemble the stand
+ Good sound quality
+ Great picture quality
+ Easy to navigate menus/switch inputs etc.
+ Digital & Analogue tuner inbuilt
+ Supports upto 1080p input
- Sound settings needs fiddling with for it to sound 'right' (I suggest the 'Cinema' setting from the Audio menu.)
- I found the auto brightness/contrast pretty annoying - this can be turned off by changing 'Fresh Contrast' to off in the Picture -> Advanced options, however this will reset if you change the AV Mode.
5/5

I don't normally write reviews only when things I buy, I think warrant one and not just for the sake of writing one. This TV has to be a no brainier £367.00 delivered
Within 14hrs, I have read reviews on the sound being poor, go in to expert settings and sort it, the same with picture settings, I am a photographer and you have all the colour settings you could ever need, inc white balance colour shade in all colours, that said set up out of the box was plain and no problem freeview, normal TV dvd and sky
When all said and done I think CRT is still the best all round quality for image, but this is a close 2nd, buy set up and enjoy.... This is a replacement for my JVC 100htz 32in CRT.

| I bought this TV about a month ago and am so impressed with it. The picture quality is brilliant sounds good and really easy to set up. The only slight downside is that the guide isn't very clear but I still think that it is a very good tv especially for the money which I paid. It also came very quickly through the post. |
Awesome TV !

| after a lot of googling, looking for a low priced, 32" LCD TV i came across this little gem. ordered it on friday and it came saturday morning thanks to amazon's brilliant prime service. for a tv of this size its actually really light ! my xbox 360 looks amazing in 1080p HD and tomb raider underworld looks breath taking. i also use my tv as a monitor for my pc and this tv is perfect for it, having a VGA input for easy connection between the two, and also an audio in so i can hear sound through the tv too. overall, this tv is fantastic, and i would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent sized HDTV at a great price. |
