| Sony Bravia KDL26L4000U 26" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV with Freeview This Tv is perfect for my requirements. I hesitated a lot between this and the 32 size which has higher specs and is cheaper (amazing) and has rave reviews. However I dont really want a TV that is too big to carry and I really dont like the 'piano black' that a lot of other models have. This TV has a sophosticated matt black (a bit glossy) finish which is perfect for watching films with the lights lowered, the matt finish becaomes part of teh shadows. I understand 'piano black' is difficult to keep clean too. Its Ok for a young family or a couple perhaps who need a big Tv as a centrepiece but I want mine to be a bit less obstrusive. I note too that the 'subtitle' function is easy to access. I was worried it might have inferior performance because the contrast ration is half (15000) that of the V series (including the 32 size which is cheaper). But i needent have worried. It really is a lovely Tv, easy to handle. A doddle to set up. the design is lovely too, all black except the thin silver line at the bottom. Very classy. thanks Sony and Amazon. |

I hesitated for a few weeks before buying this TV and was trying to decide between this Sony and a Panasonic. I eventually went for the Sony as reviews told me that picture and sound quality were better.
I have only been using this television for one week now but I can say that I am delighted with it. The picture was great to start with - but I did choose to adjust colour intensity and sharpness slightly (nice that I can do that) and it is superb now. Available sound volume is plenty for me - and I am deaf. I found it easy to set up and use, although I have a few minor gripes about the design of the remote control. All in all a great TV - which I would recommend to anyone. Looks sexy too! |
Vivid colours and superb sound.

Superb picture quality, excellent sound and the usual sturdy Sony build.
My only gripe is that there isn't a short-cut on the remote control unit to quickly activate/de-activate sub-titles without going through the lengthy menu. However, this cannot detract from a very worthy 5-star rating.

| Ideal for smaller houses or flats as screen not too large. Colour is fantastic and TV looks and is quality. Easy set up and works with sky remote so no need for multiple remotes hanging around. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a high quality LCD TV. |
A great bit of kit

As well as performing brilliantly with a great picture what marks the Sony Bravias out is the simplicity and efficiency of their control systems. The Freeview operation works superbly and the TV's processing power means that channel changing and the other controls work so fast.
I've got Virgin cable and have decided to give it up - because the Virgin box is so much slower than the Bravia.
The set-up is simple and fast. Everything just feels "quality"
A fantastic product at a great price. |

This is a stunning piece of kit. I bought this to replace a bedroom CRT and it is perfect. Superb picture, great sound and easy up. OK its not 1080 but unless you have 40" upwards 1080 is not required.
Buy this TV and you will be delighted. Nice remote, clear TV guide, strong tuner to get most DVB listings. Operates perectly with a small plug in booster ariel. |

| Bought this TV to replace a defunct CRT TV. It arrived well packeged and was quickly put in place. Freeview setup was quick and easy and all channels were quickly found. The reception is good even in bad weather which has previously caused broken reception. I find the colour and sound to be good and the overall appearance is pleasing. Remote is good with largish buttons and good control spacing, important for me because I am disabled |

Delivered intact and on-time. Very simple set-up with my existing Sony RDR-HXD890 DVD Recorder, also from Amazon. Operated straight out of the box with super picture and easy operation. |
