I have just received this TV and had no problems at all tuning all the freeview channels in. It has found more channels than any the other TV in the house so don't be put off by a review that focusses on this issue. If your signal is ok then the freeview tuner is fine.
I have another Toshiba 19", this one seems better as it switches on much faster, is easier to switch between analogue and digital (I use analogue to get the Sky signal), switches quickly between radio/tv and has much better picture options to fill the screen (16:9, 4:3, 14:9, auto, cinema). So at first look I am very pleased. |
Ideal as a one box solution

| Bought this TV for my teenage daughter's room and it is perfect!! I spent ages looking for a telly for her with all the specs that this one has, and it was a lengthy search. This is by far the best looking of the white ones...some were very plastic looking where as this Toshiba has a similar classy look to the Apple Macs. Also hard to also get 19" white ones that have a built-in DVD player. Picture and sound quality are both good too. Would look great in any room of the house: bedroom, living room, kitchen. |

Just recieved this TV after only ordering it last night on standard delivery (Great Job Amazon)
Second TV I have bought for same bedroom in this price range (1st one 22" UMC in black with dvd from TJ Hughes, not recommended, rubbish TV) There is no comparison, TV was simple to set up and the white gloss caseing looks fab, picture quality excellent, remote easy to use and I like the TV guide and timer function. DVD easy to use, was worried about the sound quality after reading some of the reviews, ok its not as good as my Sony in the lounge and not as loud but perfectly acceptable and especially for the price.
Would recommend this TV. |

| This is a good basic television for bedroom or kitchen use. Picture quality was better than I expected and the the sound is as good as you will get on this size of TV. Simple setup and the integral DVD player is a big plus. As you can also use it as a TV monitor this set is very versatile. |

Stylish product. Excellent picture. Hope it does not suffer from the same problem as other Toshiba TV's previously purchased. Namely, the sound disappears after the TV has been on for a while about a few weeks after purchase. So far so good.

I bought this from Amazon to replace a TV of the same size and spec but which threw in the towel. The set-up is completely idiot-proof so you can get up and running in a few minutes. Picture quality is excellent and the default colour setting is natural, which suits m fine because I don't like over-saturated colour displays. You can change the colour settings very easily from the remote menu system which is intuitive and easy to page through.
The only thing that might surprise somebody coming from an old system with a separate DVD drive is the fact that the DVD drive has not tray, you simply shove the DVD vertically into the slot and the system grabs it from you and sucks you in. Not a surprise to anybody who has used a Macintosh computer before but a first for me on a TV. Surprise or not, it doesn't deserve the subtraction of a star because to me, it's yet another thing that won't go wrong.
A good buy, value for money from a celebrated name in TV technology and I'm very pleased with it. Recommended. |
