I bought this tv one month ago and I am completely delighted with it.So good is the freeview SD ,three weeks passed before I installed the satellite to receive freesat HD .The satellite and cabling only cost £36 and I found it no trouble to fit. The freesat SD quality is even better than freeview SD and the picture quality for freesat HD is absolutely superb. The 100hz rapid motion facility definitely seems to work and the picture quality remains good even in very heavy rain - a testament to the stability of the panasonic tuners. The appearance is more eligant than other tvs and is very easy to use. Some of the reviews I have read do not give this tv the full credit it deserves.
Amazing, stunning, out of this planet!

Reviewer: Michael Kelly,
I have had this set 3 days now and am thrilled with it. It is a 37 inch full HD set, with an integrated freesat tuner. I have it set up with Sky+ SD via scart and blu ray via HDMI. HD images are simply stunning. Motion is superb. Colours are natural and realistic. The first blu ray I watched was Earth. What a jaw dropping visual feast that was! SD images from Sky are good. Of course, having seen the HD capabilities of the set, SD can never live up to that. Nonetheless it is streets ahead of my old 32" Tosh HD Ready TV. I haven't set up the freesat yet, but I am told that the images will be even better quality. And of course some of the freesat channels (BBC,ITV) will be broadcast in HD..and all for free!
Panasonic are the best LCD manufacturer in the business. I say this based on the many reviews of their TV's on the net. This TV is the successor to the extremely highly rated LZD800 series and I can tell you that it is an amazing piece of kit. I am incredibly happy with it.

Panasonic TX-L37G10B 37-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Freesat - Installation Recommended

The TV arrived on time and I had a Freesat satelite dish installed a few days later. The satelite dish installer connected the arial, switched the TV on, went to auto set up and a few minutes later all was working.
I have since added a Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-EX769EB and using Viera Link I have a system that is so easy to use and the quality of both the TV and recorded images is excellent Well worth buying and at a very good price from Amazon
A truly superb set

I took delivery of this TV just twenty four hours ago and up to now I have been truly delighted with it. What a fantastic service Amazon provide. I ordered this set on the Sunday and I took delivery of it early on Wednesday morning. This even taking into account that the Monday was a Bank Holiday.
Upon delivery I immediately rang the aerial erector to come and install a satellite dish and to set up the television as per Amazon recommendation. By lunchtime on the same day all was in place and I was truly amazed at the quality of the picture and the accurate colour reproduction. I had always fancied the Freesat installation from the BBC and ITV and I was not disappointed. I was even able to watch the European Cup Final on HD whose quality is truly mind boggling. I live in an area where we cannot get Freeview reception even though we are scheduled to change over in October of this year. This Freesat TV was the perfect answer for me. A truly wonderful purchase.
Since I bought this TV, a friend of mine who had bought a 32" Sony LCD TV last year asked me to order this model for him from Amazon. He was so impressed with the quality of the picture on mine that he wanted a similar model. He has had it now for just over five weeks and is absolutely delighted with it

Ok, the first thing you notice is the shiny black TV frame, this makes the TV look very modern and stylish however you may need to clean once a week as it does show dust and finger prints very easily but thats the same on everyone of these new TVs.

The design of the TV is very sleek, I like the swivel base stand that comes as standard; this makes turning the TV to the correct viewing angle easy. The remote is also very nice, it has big buttons which is always a positive thing, it requires 2x AA which come supplied.

The next thing I will talk about is the connections, it comes with 4x HDMI slots, 2x SCART sockets, SD card reader, Composite sockets (red, yellow, white, blue, green). And audio out etc. This in my opinion is enough, if you want more however you can attach a HDMI/SCART socket splitter extension, this will give you more sockets.

The TV is quite good for the environment also as it features a button on the right hand side to turn off the TV, this saves being left on standby all the time. Note: when you turn on the TV the red standby light will appear, on the remote press and hold the standby button for 2 seconds and release, the standby light will turn green and the TV will switch on, it took me a while to figure this out as I dont really like reading instructions.

Now for the standard definition viewing such as normal Freeview or Sky, the picture I'm very pleased with, I recieve top signals though, I dont know how much of a difference this will make to the picture if you have a low signal quality. However when I watch some channels I think theyre in HD, the skin tones are very clear, all the colour shades are top notch - this is what I expect from the leading brand. Now for HD, I plugged in my PS3 via HDMI cable and watched a BluRay film and I was so pleased, the sound, colour, and movement jumped to life. I then decided to watch a normal DVD on my PS3, I chose the option 'upscale to full' on the PS3. The quality I must say was close to that of a BluRay, I was very impressed.

The next step I will probably take is getting a satalite dish for FreeSat HD as the TV comes with the hardware built in.

Well done Panasonic for another great buy.

I hope you found my review helpful.
A superb television

We were looking for a 37" Full HD set and I have always rated Panasonic products very highly. Living in an area without Freeview and having an existing Sky dish this set with the built in Freesat receiver looked very attractive. As the existing reviews were excellent, we decided to purchase one and we have certainly not been disappointed. We plugged in the Sky dish, the set located all the Freesat channels and the first thing that appeared was Wimbledon in HD. We were simply stunned by the quality of the picture. What surprised us even more was that the none HD channels looked almost as good and the sound was also excellent. Everyone who has seen it so far has said it is the best picture they have seen on a TV. We can't recommend it highly enough and we are now purchasing a Panasonic cinema surround sound system to go with it.
Researched to death!

The Panasonic TX-L37G10B was selected after weeks narrowing the choices down to Panasonic, Sony or Samsung.
Whilst this set is not new to the market, it is an excellent option and likely to fulfill most people's needs.
Picture - with basic Freeview - very good; freesat and Sky excellent and Freesat HD - outstanding.
Sound - comparable with most other LCD/Plasma TVs but not as good as many old CRT sets. Settings can be tweeked to improve and the addition of a surround system or similar makes all the difference.
Signal input
Basic aerial in a relatively poor reception area produces very good Freeview pictures and sound.
Sky dish (same satellite as Freesat) I have utilised one input from Sky+ system re Sky and second input re Freesat. This reduces some of the Sky+ services but didnt want to add additional wiring at this stage. If you have basic Sky service (one input) and wish to continue watching Sky and Freesat, you will need to update your receiver/LNB to double/quad - many web sites out there will provide guidance.
HDMI connections work perfectly and my upscaling DVD player produces near HD quality when scaled to 1080p
SD card also simply to use and produces good display.
PC -excellent. Connect via VGA and sound lead and your lap top or net book will be displayed in its full glory on the screen. Perfect for streaming videos or simply surfing the net.
All in all a super product. Recommend buying one before the model is superceded by something with more add ons than you will ever need.
Enjoy.
Hard to beat.

This is the best TV I have ever bought, luckily I have a communal satellite dish on my block of flats, so I never even needed a dish with this TV, I just plugged it in and away it went into full satellite receiving etc.

But take away the satellite dish, and just using a normal Arial, the colour was brilliant, and all the free-view channels are just as good as with a satellite dish etc.

So you have both options for the extra cost over a normal free-view TV etc.

Oddly enough, I never even bothered reading the instructions, it was that automatic and that simple etc.

I use the Satellite connection all the time now, but it is nice to know I can revert to normal Free-view if I ever want to.

I think once you buy this type of TV with the Satellite incorporated in it; you won't buy any other TV with just free-view etc; Panasonic has set the standard of future Television choice, in my opinion.

To be honest; High definition on all televisions are an over-rated option in my opinion; because the normal picture quality on this TV is hard to beat, I have used both options, but now I stay with the standard colour definition; as it is that good.

You can feel safe and re-assured in recommending this satellite receiving Panasonic TX - L37G10B Freesat TV to anyone; it is the best on the market by far.

I consider it the best TV I have ever had.
A Truly Fantastic Television

My title description says it all. This set, incorporating Freesat HD, 1080p with 100hz technology is a frankly the best set on the market today; in my honest opinion.

I purchased this set to replace my aging 32" LG LCD television, which had an HD capability of 720p/1080i, but pre-dated HDMI connectivity. Component and DVI don't cut it in todays 'HD Everything' world. I therefore wanted a set that I wouldn't have to replace in another few years time.

I'm a keen Playstation gamer so automatically looked at Sony. I wasn't impressed. Two of my friends own and run PS3's through their Sony LCD's and although HD gaming and Blu Ray playing seemed impressive, I felt let down by their SD television processing. I therefore swung toward Panasonic; I wasn't prepared to go down the LG, Toshiba or Samsung routes. Don't get me wrong. I'm no snob; well perhaps just a tad. I was very happy with the picture performance my LG gave me. It was time to invest my cash in a piece of technological art, rather than a simple upgrade. So, purchase a Panasonic is what I did.

If you're looking for an all-rounder then Full 1080p HD with atleast 100hz processing IS A MUST. To add, Freesat HD is one of lifes little bonus'. Who knows how far it will go, whether it'll expand or not, but if you've paid for subscription tv in the past 'uhump-sky', then you will be of the same mind as me. 'Those thieves won't be getting another penny from me'. Freesat HD gives you a better option than just Freeview alone. Yeah BBC HD starts at 4pm and finishes at 12am and all that ITV can musta in HD is The Bill, but just wait for Champions League and the World Cup next year... I'll be watching in crisp HD whilst those suckers who pay upwards of £40pcm will be twiddling their thumbs and praying ITV sign up. Yes Channel 4 is only on one of those subscription packages at the mo, but watch this space, Freesat will get.

Enough waffle. All in all this set is fantastic. Yes you have to set the colour, contrast etc from what the crazy-wild-haired scientist in the Panasonic lab set it to, but when you're happy, sit back and be amazed by SD like you've never seen before and HD like you've only dreamed of. Another bonus is the SD card slot. Watch as your photos are upscalled into HD before your very eyes.
Exceeded expectations

I selected this TV specifically to work with a Yamaha RXV 3900 audio/visual surround system.

The Panasonic exeeceed my expectations for picture quality & connectivity.

The freeview tuner worked perfectly with the spare aerial output from my old Sky tuner & I can simply say that this TV superb.

The HD picture quality is better than the equivalent Panasonic plasma TV.

Playback of AVCHD video from SDHC cards is very impressive.

I can fully recommend this TV - it easily beats the competitors.

I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this TV.

Having decided I placed order for this TV 3pm friday and it was delivered 8:30am next day (Saturday). Full marks to City Link.

Connected TV to terrestial TV point and Satellite feed, powered on and all I had to do was enter my post code to get the correct region on the freesat channel set up.

The entirely automated set up went perfectly taking about 5 minutes and everything just worked, analogue, DVB and Freesat channels including HD were all there ready to watch.

Picture was perfect - no adjustments required in any mode. However, The limitations of analogue transmission were plain to see compared to DVB on this size screen. Even though we are in an area where the DVB signal is a bit week the DVB channels were all stable and picture quality is excellent. Then the definition on Freesat gives an even better picture. Finally on switching to HD the picture detail and sound quality is quite stunning.

All this for well under £700.

Clearly my research into selecting the right TV for us paid off. If you want a 37inch TV with Freesat HD built in right now I cannot see how this box can be beaten in terms of price/performance.
