After many hours trawling reviews and visiting the high street rip off merchants to see the tv in the flesh i decided to take the plunge on a forseeable future proof stylish tv.Fantastic service from Amazon order placed on monday tv arrived on wednesday,if you read reviews they will say the sound quality is thin i have had no problems the sound. It was very easy to carry out the initial install and quite straightforward to tweek the tv settings to your own custom settings if you so wish. The picture quality is fantastic clear bright images, overall an awesome package cant fault it.

I've just finished installing one of these for my daughter and I must say I was pretty impressed.

Forget Samsung's high-tech claims; we've been getting hype like this from manufacturers for decades. In truth, the picture is little different from an LCD TV from any GOOD manufacturer, and much as previous Samsung TVs - which means it's very good indeed. What is improved is better connectivity; it's as well to be as future-proof as possible (although other makes of set are also becoming so equipped). As well as the usual SCARTS and phono sockets, there are no fewer than 4 HDMI sockets and even a USB connection.

The TV was easy to lift and quite stable on its stand, despite its relatively large size. It was also easy to set up, channels being found easily. A glance at the instructions suggested manual tuning should be straightforward, should you need it, though I stress I had no need to try it. Freeview reception was good and, once I'd got the hang of it, it was simple to connect all accessories. A bonus is the remote, which is very easy to handle and has nice, positive buttons.

Picture was excellent, and quite amazing in HD. Motion blur was only visible on extreme fast shots, and clarity and colour very good. The non-reflective screen can be seem from quite a wide angle and seemed to adjust itself well to any light conditions.

Points you may want to note are:

- most connections are round the back, but a few (typically the fourth inputs) are at the left-hand side (facing the screen) just offset to the rear a little. This may affect you if you plan to butt the TV up against a wall or similar, but otherwise should make frequent plugging and unplugging simple, though I can imagine it might be a bit fiddly if you hang the TV on the wall (something most sets suffer from)

- although equipped with Dolby settings, sound is adequate rather than spectacular. This tends to be a common problem with flat-screens; the difficulty is fitting good loudspeakers into a shallow box. More expensive solutions can help, but not all of us are bothered about surround sound when watching the news or Big Brother, and Samsung have decided to keep the cost down. Even so, it will satisfy most, and if you're serious about films you'll probably have a separate audio setup anyway

- although not the largest, this is still a big TV and it's got to be easy on the eye even when not in use. Personally I like the simple, unfussy styling

Overall, I found it excellent. Although I'm not in the market myself at the moment, I will certainly check it out when the time comes.
Great Picture, well loads of facilities

Walk into your local electrical retailers and be confused by the myriad of Lcd/LED and Plasma tv's on offer. It's important to me that a tv should have a great picture, the picture should be bright, and the contrast ratio should be high.Samsung will give you both, it's a much better image than the Sony varients, and cheaper too.So why choose the Samsung LE37B650T2 over the cheaper Samsung 37" models? Simply put, it's contrast ratio is better, meaning the darks are darker and the whites are brighter.I originally decided to wait for the 37" LED tv's to come on the market, but couldn't justify the extra price tag with what I perceived a similar image.Plasma tv's don't seem to show whites properly - I've seen a few,and large areas of white (eg: skiing) appear grey.
The LE37B650T2 is easy to set up, but straight out of the box it's default image is too bright and contrasty ( looks good in the shop next to the pasty image on other sets - but not in the lounge). It took some time to get the image right for me. Sound quality is ok, nothing special. What really shines - and a bonus to me,were the 2 x USB sockets! My son pluged in a USB stick with 2 movies on it - picture quality was excellent! One of the USB sockets will support an external USB hard disk drive, so downloaded movies and programs can be watched. It also supports photo viewing and music too, so in all a great set. There's an RJ45 socket for connecting the set to the internet for internet tv - I haven't explored this yet, so can't comment.
Solid all rounder

The picture quality is quite staggering - solid and crisp despite the fact that we are not yet on HD. Despite watching 'standard old TV' broadcasts, it is glorious! The 100Mhz Motion Plus makes watching fast moving pictures and minimizing any shadowy lag effects. Digital pictures look more vibrant than I have ever seen it on my large screen laptops.

However, the Internet@TV is still slightly 'rudimentary' in terms of available content. Samsung has promised the availability of YouTube but as of July 2009, there seems to be no sign of it yet. If and when it does come, that will take this TV to another dimension and differentiate it from other TVs from Sony and Panasonic. Happy with the purchase after considering these other models.

All in all, a very well rounded TV built for the expansion future.
incredible

The Samsung LE37B650T2 was chosen after some extensive online comparisons, and from the experience of a friend of mine, who has a older, but similar model.

The product was easy to set up, the picture excellent and the on-screen menus easy to use. The physical appearance looks great after my old grey CRT flatscreen. I managed to set up the LAN facilities, so that I can see pictures and watch videos directly from my PC without having to copy them onto the USB stick (they wouldn't fit anyway!). The Wiselink software took a bit of time to discovery all my pictures and home videos#4000+), but once set up, adding new videos and pictures just took a minute or two. Using the internet link I can see my Twitters and check on others I follow using the Widget facility, although the number of widgets is a bit limited. The YouTube widget is great for watching online Music videos, though it's best to have an external amplifier to get good quality sound. All in all a very pleasant experience.
excellent HDTV

I have read many reviews to come to a decision to buy a long term tv as there are so many new models around.I decided on a samsung hdtv and I was not disappointed. Amazon were excellent in their quick and efficient delivery service.I had it connected to my freesat box using hdmi within an hour. The pictures were amazing. It was a bit bright but having read other reviews with guidance on how to adjust picture quality to your satisfaction we spent time adjusting it.We have now enjoyed many hours of amazing television.I was able to connect to the internet using powerline adapters to my router. No need for wireless adapters or more wires.Having youtube is a major advantage when there are no tv programmes to your liking. They all work wonderfully.I am very impressed with the connectivity to all other accessories using dlna to connect to my NAS in addition to my dvd player.I would highly recommend this HDTV.
Incredible value for money

I wanted to replace the TV in my house that was only HD ready with a full HD set. I decided to stay with a 37 inch set but I wanted a 100Hz set so the football would look better.

My search was narrowed down to this, an LG and a Sony. Well after comparing all 3 I was in no doubt that this Samsung offered the best picture. It is absolutely breath taking (make sure you set it up as a dynamic picture and set the edge enhancement and noise reduction to low of even off). Watching Casino Royal is a new experience - the detail was amazing.

Sound is a little weak but to be honest I am about to use a dedicated 5.1 system so it not really a problem.
Connectivity is great with 2 scarts, 4 HDMI's, component, VGA and god know what else although no SVHS which was annoying as I still use an SVHS player although I have jet to test the scarts to see if they can accept scart RGB.

The set up was quick and it found both analog and digital TV stations within 5 mins.
Finally the remote is very nice and easy to use and it also lights up if it need be to used in the dark.

All in all this is one hell of a good TV at a brilliant price. 100Hz does indeed make a difference on LCD TV's so its worth paying the extra for.
9/10

We bought this tv back in November, having finally decided to part company with our trusty clunky old 24" CRT tv. We also decided to spend more than we might normally do and buy better quality as we seem to hang on to tellys for ten years. We weren't disappointed and Amazon were about the best price around.

Four months on, we're still really pleased with it. The picture's incredibly clean, especially for watching HD channels. BBCHD and Ch4 HD in particular are noticeably clearer than their non-HD equivalents.

I've read that the sound isn't particularly brilliant but I suppose that all depends on what you compare it to - compared to our old tv it seems very good but I still might invest in a speaker system at some point. I also wonder whether the picture might be improved even further if I were to get round to buying a better quality hdmi lead - something else I ought to get round to doing.

I don't really get the point of the Yahoo internet feature: a) it's slow and doesn't really work and b) we've got the internet on three computers and a phone already. I suppose it might be useful if you want to watch youtube a lot. We don't.

If picture quality is a priority, which is entirely why we chose this model I think it's a great tv. What hifi seem to agree.

Simply a great TV

Just bought this TV. Found the picture quality was better than the eco-thinscreen version. I have not been disappointed with this TV. The picture quality is outstanding and it was so easy to set up. I managed to hook up my stereo amp and speakers very easily, giving a great sound on TV, Blu-Ray, etc, although the TV sound is perfectly sufficient for normal everyday use. There are loads of features and adjustments to keep you occupied if you want but, apart from sound tweaking, I've pretty much left the factory settings. Internet TV seems to me a bit of a gimmick but it may become more useful in the future. Until that time, it will remain pretty much unused I imagine. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of this TV.
