Incredible TV

This is a stunning TV. Image quality is fantastic in standard def, but with a 1080p HD input it just becomes a completely different animal. The 100Hz motion plus makes the picture so incredibly smooth, and with ultra contrast there is unparalelled depth in the images. On top of all of these, it is less than 3cm deep! Looks just as good off as it does on.
Because it uses LED technology it uses much less energy than its LCD / Plasma counterparts so can save you more money in the long run (there is even a neat power-meter feature that shows you how much energy you are using!).
The sound quality isn't great but if you are buying a TV like this, you will need a surround sound system for the ultimate viewing experience!
Only other thing I can fault it on is the HDMI / VGA connection ports at the back. Due to the amazingly slim design, I had to buy new slimmer cables to connect my PS3 / computer - the plastic casing on the cables being too bulky to allow them to fit into their slots!! Also, the backlight will dim automatically when very dark images appear (I think this is an energy saving feature) which doesnt really put me off but some people may find it annoying.
This is definately one of the best 32" TVs on the market and although it is more expensive, its definately worth the extra in my opinion.

| thought i would write a few comments about this product seems tho it was the reviews from other buyers which made my mind up for me to buy this. I would recommend this tv to any body the picture quality is amazin and the sound quality isnt too bad either although if ur one for watchin movies all the time i would suggest a surround sound system. To see the tv's quality at its best i would recommend u rig it up to a blu-ray player as i have seen the quality is outstanding. Only thing i would of liked to of seen in the tv's menus is a option that just says " at its best" as there is quiete a few options to choose from regarding the performance of the tele but thats me just bein fussy if ur thinking about buyin this then i would definetly suggest u do get it and the price isnt too bad either and the delivery of the item from amazon was spot on too all in all its a good buy. |

I decided to buy this as I needed a TV for my bedroom
I couldn't be happier with it so far
With it's ultra slim dimensions & gloss finish, this is asthetically pleasing before even switching it on.
The Picture quality is excellent, DTV images through an arial are nice and sharp and with good clarity of colours and so far haven't come across and image blur or issues with blacks.
As I'm sure is mentioned in other reviews, the set auto dims to make blacks seem "blacker" which some people could find an annoyance but it isn't something that is yet to bother me.
As it's not my main TV, there's never the need to crank up the volume, so can't give a review of the sound but the speakers are adequate at lower volumes
The remote control has an unusual design incorporating an unecessary hook type curve at the bottom.
However, a major plus going for the remote is the backlit buttons when a button is pressed.
Ideal when watching TV in bed at night
All in all the is a great TV for the price it is on offer. Yes you can get an LCD equivilent for cheaper but I'd definately choose the LED over it any time |

I would recommend this TV to anyone who is looking to buy an LED TV, even in standard definition it is simply astonishing; in HD it really comes alive, the picture quality is fantastic, my son asked if we were watching in 3D. The picture quality really is that good; use a blu-ray player and see just how outstanding it can be, ...the film Avatar (in blu-ray) is a good example, you'll soon see what I mean, you will not be disappointed.
I noticed one or two earlier comments about picture ghosting in SD; I downloaded the latest software from Samsung and have had no problems with picture quality at all. The latest software can be downloaded onto a computer and then to a memory stick. Insert the memory stick into the TV and follow the on-screen instructions as they flash-up. It is as simple as that.
The good news is people without a computer only need a memory stick and someone with a computer to download the latest software for them.
The sound is a little thin but you have to expect this from such an ultra slim TV, I would recommend a surround sound system if you are a film watcher.
Would I recommend this TV, absolutely!!!

Best TV For the price

| This tv is amazing, its true colour so black is actually black, although some scenes can be quite dark but it actually does not spoil anything. The size is really good, it does have a buzz sound coming from the back but if the tv is off it disappears and you cant hear it if your watching something. The buzzing is in all electronics due to a step down transformer in the power supply so if you put you laptop charger to your ear you'll hear buzzing, its not annoying and is standard for all electric devices. It is incredibly thin and has loads of ports on the back, it is an HD TV so do not expect much from standard definition as down scaling is poor, this applies to high resolution pc monitors too, so i recommend a blue-ray drive or PS3. I have not heard the sound but from reading reviews its apparently poor, but that said if you are going to buy such a good quality expensive tv like this one you should already have/be considering purchasing a decent sound surround sound system as it does have an optical out port for sound. All in all you are getting your money's worth with a high quality tv which is really thin and LED makes a huge difference. |

Installed within 20min. Had no problem in screwing the base onto the TV which has been mentioned in other reviews. Tuning was totally automatic and the picture quality is stunning.
Side comment: had a slight problem with a mark on the screen which was particularly visible on a green background. Amazon return and relacement servise was amazing; with replacement TV arriving within 48h of submitting a report. Totally satisfied with this product; picture quality is absolutely stunning. Still can't believe a TV can be that thin. Would thoroughly recomment this product. |

| It is an expensive TV but worth it as it is the best picture I have ever seen on a 32" TV. Probably the best on the market for picture quality I would think. Blacks are black and white are white. However, the speakers are a bit feeble and it really needs a proper sound system which we intend to add to it. Other than that, fantastic and am really pleased with it. |

| I did a long and extensive review of all available tv's before I settled on this one and I'm very pleased with my final choice. Being a late adopter of flat screen tv's - having a perfectly good Sony that was 12 years old and still going strong - I was forced to make a decision when my sky box was replaced with an HD sky plus. This is a fantastic purchase and has brought to life DVDs and HD tv such that it looks almost better than real life. If I have a small gripe, the sound quality is not that good but I am looking to purchase a set of suitable speakers to go with it in the new year. |
Very pleased

Selected this TV for my Mum for watching freeview only. Got to say I was slightly worried about the what the quality would be when we got the TV home but was pleasantly surprised. I personally have a high quality Loewe 32" CRT TV and doubted that a LCD/LED TV could produce non-HD pictures as good as the CRT but it's actually very good indeed.
The sound is a bit tinny but actually acceptable for regular viewing.
The Samsung looks great and the aesthetics are 10/10!.... The remote control is also very easy to use.
The decision was between the Sony 32W5500 LCD and this Samsung and definitely made the right choice. |
